Colombian-born, Canadian-raised Mary Luz Mejia is Canada’s first International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting Level III Certified Chocolate Taster. She is also a twice-nominated freelance food and travel journalist by the North American Travel Journalists Association and a Gemini Award–nominated former food television producer. Mary Luz is a trained journalist whose work has been published in outlets including Saveur, Toronto Star, DreamScapes Magazine, Royal Caribbean International, Gateways Magazine, and The Globe and Mail. Based in Toronto, she offers sensory chocolate tastings (private, public and corporate) and writes extensively about cacao and chocolate, with a particular passion for fruity, nuanced dark chocolate. This seminar is part of the Seminar Series at the show and will be held at the Algonquin College in Classroom O-40, adjacent to the Event Salons where the show is taking place.
Tickets for this event are $5.00 and are only available to those who have purchased a general admission ticket to the show. General Admission tickets are available under TICKETS. You must have a ticket to the Ottawa Chocolate Show and a Seasonal Tasting ticket to attend this event.
In the case that these tickets do not sell out before the show, you may also purchase them at the door the day of the show. Please keep in mind that you will still need a General Admission ticket at the door in order to purchase the Seasonal Tasting.
